WattLogic is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to help us position the Energy Efficiency side of our business for its next chapter of growth. As a successful candidate, you will be an ambitious, entrepreneurial leader that’s excited to take on challenging and massive opportunities. Your focus is on results, yet understand it takes a village to deliver them. This is a tremendous opportunity for an experienced lighting/energy solutions sales rep to maintain our current funnel of business at a fast-growing, high-impact organization. Our existing customer pipelines offer an opportunity for rapid growth potential. Additional advancement opportunities may include positions in WattLogics’ rapidly growing EV charging segment.

The Company

WattLogic was founded in 2009 and was acquired in October 2010 by Carl Kasalek, who is now the company’s CEO. As a person who is passionate about leveraging technology to help businesses be more energy efficient and lower their carbon footprints. Upgrading our customers LED technology is one of the best ways to manage and reduce the high operational cost and energy usage of outdated lighting.We create a customized solution designed for our customers needs rather than be tied to one particular product line or manufacturer. Once switched to LEDs, businesses will enjoy a safer, more productive facility.

We provide full-service coordination for energy-saving lighting upgrade projects so our valued customers don’t have to. Getting them everything they need to maximize a commercial lighting upgrade all from one company – utility rebates, project management, and recycling of the old equipment.

What the Role Entails

The following are performance objectives for the Strategic Account Manager. When measuring overall aptitude and cultural fit, all candidates will be benchmarked using these standards.

  • Experience with customer outreach and developing new business
  • Working closely with our Director of Strategic Partnerships to maintain beneficial relationships and current funnel of business with some our most profitable clients
  • Our ideal Assistant Account Manager will be a self starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for innovation, and a team player who wants to be a part of a growing company.
  • Responsibilities to include preparing and delivering presentations and proposals. 
  • Frequent local and non-local travel is expected – participating on behalf of the company in exhibitions, conferences and building customer relationships.
  • Tech savvy – updating customer information in SalesForce 
  • Collaborating with projects team within our CRM software to achieve the best results for both the company and its customers projects
  • Manage sales process: generate leads, coordinate project kick-off, and assist customers develop and justify their business case
  • Work as an account maintenance expert by managing customer calls/emails and handling complaints and or objections from customers.

  • Customer Service: Passion for delivering exemplary service. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both external and internal customers. You should be collaborative and exhibit a positive attitude toward your work and colleagues.
  • Professionalism: You should be timely, courteous, and respectful. You should be organized and able to document your work. Be proactive, self-motivated, and work on a team as well as independently. You should be able to self-manage a work schedule including being able to prioritize tasks as needed.
  • Problem-solving: Possess effective decision-making skills. You should be able to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and utilize both critical and creative thinking.
  • Technically-savvy: Possess the ability to build knowledge and understanding as well as leverage internal technical resources in the sales process, including Wattlogic’s processes and procedures.

What We Require:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, or other related field of study; or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of demonstrated relevant sales experience; commercial and industrial lighting industry experience is highly desired
  • 5+ years of demonstrated customer-facing experience
  • Demonstrated experience with value-based selling, ROI, and TCO analysis
  • Intermediate skills with Google docs, Google Presentation and Google Sheets
  • Intermediate skills with SalesForce

Salary Range:

$65,000 – $75,000 + Commission
