EV Charging Rebates Rancho Cucamonga

The EV Charger Programs offers rebates for both residential and commercial EV charger purchases and installations. The program is designed to offset the costs of EV charging stations and the installation expenses associated with them. The goal of the program is to encourage the installation of EV chargers at public places, municipal buildings, businesses, single-family homes, and apartments.

Commercial customers can receive up to $4,000 and $1,000 for an additional port for a Level 2 charger and/or $5,000 for a DC Fast Charger. One Level 2 or DC Fast Charger rebate is available for each commercial customer that has a minimum of 5 parking spaces available. One additional Level 2 charger rebate is available for every 10 additional parking spaces at the business. A maximum of 2 EV charger rebates are available per commercial location with a total rebate of $10,000. 

Residential customers can receive up to $500 for each hardwired Level 2 charger. 

EV charger rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are depleted or until June 30, 2023.

To participate in the program you must be a RCMU customer. The EV chargers must be wall-mounted or pedestal Level 2 chargers with the SAE J1772 charging plug and DC Fast Chargers with the CCS/SSE or CHAdeMO charging plug. The charger must be UL listed, ETL listed, or approved by the Rancho Cucamonga Department of Building and Safety and installed by a licensed contractor in compliance with local codes, permitting, and inspection requirements. 

The chargers do not need to be a specific brand, but they must be installed by a licensed contractor that installs the EV chargers in compliance with local codes, permitting and inspection requirements. 

You should apply for the rebate prior to the purchase and installation of the EV chargers and complete the rebate application within six months of the EV charger(s) installation.
