Does Energy Trust of Oregon have commercial rebates?

High-efficiency lighting products and other energy efficiency technology can be expensive. Although they are cost-effective in the long run, they often require a significant upfront cost that cannot be covered by a facility’s budget. Your business could use a lighting upgrade or installation of energy-saving technology, like a solar photovoltaic (PV) system, for energy savings, decreased electricity bills, boost to employee morale, and increased quality control. But, the cost of lighting upgrades can be steep. Thankfully, there are ways to make energy efficiency improvements affordable when you maximize your lighting rebates by partnering with an energy solutions company, like WattLogic.

What Energy Trust of Oregon rebates are available for an LED lighting retrofit?

Energy Trust of Oregon recently released its 2021 program for energy efficiency cash incentives. Although many programs saw a decrease in rates when compared to 2020, there are still benefits in pursuing a project in Energy Trust’s territories.

Incentives for lighting and lighting controls both decreased from the 2020 program. Despite this, Energy Trust offers relatively large cash incentives for a variety of qualifying projects in the LED lighting space. Measures that qualify for incentives include LED retrofit lamps at $1.50-$9.00 per lamp, LED screw-in lamps replacing HID’s at $15-$45 per lamp, high and low bays at $75-$175 per fixture, interior LED fixtures at $12-$45 per fixture, exterior LED fixtures at $12-$235 per fixture, and vacancy and occupancy sensors at $19.50-$60.00 per sensor.

Projects not falling in line with Energy Trust’s standard lighting program may be eligible for their custom program. Incentives for custom lighting projects now pay at $0.15 per kWh saved, whereas lighting controls can receive $0.20 per kWh saved.

Does Energy Trust of Oregon offer incentives for solar energy systems?

Energy Trust of Oregon offers Oregon solar incentives of $0.20-$0.25 per watt with a cap of $20,000 for Pacific Power customers, whereas Portland General Electric customers can receive between $0.20-$0.45 per watt with a cap of $35,000. Additionally, the federal solar investment tax credit (ITC) provides a tax credit incentive on the costs of the installation.
